See DOC Run for Family Health & Fitness Day
Dr. Timothy E. Phelan, is kicking off SeeDadRun with an early run on Saturday, June 13! Dr. Phelan, an ob/gyn physician who practices at Creekside Ob/Gyn of Folsom, has taken care of thousands of women and delivered hundreds of babies. In his free time he challenges himself by running long distances. In the last 10 years he has completed over 50 competitive running events. Along with 10 road marathons (26.2 miles) he has also completed 17 ultra-marathons. Many races are held to raise money for worthy causes, but with the current pandemic all races have been canceled. So, Dr. Phelan has created his own Sacramento Life Center Solo Charity Run. Donations will go to expand Health and Nutrition classes for new moms at the Sacramento Life Center.
Running From His Office to Ours!
Leaving from Creekside Ob/Gyn of Folsom at 6:30am Saturday June 13 he will run 25.5 miles to the Sacramento Life Center office in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood. Starting with the Humbug Creek trail behind his office he will follow the beautiful bike trails of Folsom and Sacramento County. After 1 mile the Humbug Creek trail joins the Willow Creek Trail, which 4 miles later meets the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail at Lake Natoma. He will continue downstream along the American River Bike Trail for another 20 miles. Passing Hazel, Sunrise, Watt, and Howe avenues he will eventually reach Cal Expo. Leaving the bike trail near Cal Expo he will finish up by running along Hurley Avenue, take a left at Bell Avenue and then less than a mile later reach the Sacramento Life Center around 11:30 am.
By running these 25.5 miles Dr. Phelan hopes to raise money to expand Health and Nutrition classes for new moms at the Sacramento Life Center.
