A crowd that was estimated to be at least 20,000, and stretched for over two miles, walked, prayed, and witnessed to the dignity and sanctity of LIFE.
Running For LIFE
On December 5, 2009, David, a friend of the Life Center, ran the Sacramento International Marathon. David wore a t-shirt with the Life Center name and logo to promote our LIFEsaving work as he ran the 26.2 miles stretching from Folsom to Sacramento. David completed the marathon in 3 hours and 48 minutes! Congratulations, David! And thank you for running for LIFE!
Update on Professor Robert George Talk
On the evening of July 20, 2009 over 250 friends of the Life Center welcomed Professor George who presented a talk entitled “Our Struggle for the Soul of Our Nation.”
Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, discussed efforts of the pro-life movement over nearly 40 years to both reverse the abortion license manufactured by the U.S. Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade, and to secure for the child in the womb his or her fundamental right to the protection of our laws. In addition, Professor George offered an assessment of the challenges and opportunities facing the pro-life movement today on the cultural, political, and legal fronts.
